Woe is me!

I woke up early and in a good mood. The last three nights it has rained steadily, and I enjoy sleeping with the sound of rain. It is nice, however, when there’s sunshine to get up to in the morning. And even though it was really early, I could tell it was going to be a beautiful day.

So I told myself I would do a little work for an hour or two, and once things started to warm up I would go outside and enjoy the day. Ok. So I have this EQ project file with all the Easter related designs I have been working on for the last month or so. I ocasionally do this: just doodle and doodle, drawing block after block, and then start putting projects together.

So I had a file with A LOT of designs. Some of them already made their way into the latest projects I’ve posted. So I told myself I should first clean up the file. This means putting each finished project in its very own file and saving it to the appropriate (Easter) folder. To do this, I need to open the original file each time, rename it and save it.

So I’m happily working along, until… I realize I have deleted all the blocks without renaming the file.

I just lost over fifty blocks and probably about a week’s work!!!! GRRRR!!!!

Oh, well. Serves me right for not paying better attention to what I was doing. Drawing is like quilting for me – I don’t draw the same design twice. So I’ll just have to put it down to experience and be more careful next time.

In the meantime… I’m going outside for a little bit, to regain my good mood. Later… we’ll see if I draw some more!
