Time for beads and buttons

2014-233July turned out to be an exceptionally busy month. Lots and lots of work. And because we were left without power for a whole week, which involved juggling my whole schedule around, I ended up having to work long hours the last couple of weeks.

Fortunately, there have been no more power outages, and life seems to have gotten back to “normal.” However, ever since I moved to the country I have had to deal with either the water or the power being cut every single month, this time I decided to stay prepared. So candles have been replaced in the candle holders… just in case. 🙂

2014-234

So it’s been a very long month without sewing one single stitch. Which means I’m itchy. The grandkids are here for a 4-day weekend, so I’ve taken off work to spend some time with them. And maybe do a little sewing. I went through some odds and ends left over from other projects, and have quickly thrown a small piece together. Now to quickly quilt it, and then the fun begins: time to embellish! 🙂

2014-235

Now you all have a great weekend, hear? 🙂
