More house pics

Believe it or not, three months after having moved into my new house we are still finishing things. Hopefully that will all end by tomorrow, and I will finally be able to move on to other things. Like sewing, and all things Christmas!

The house has made it into a couple of international architectural digests. So happy for my young architects and the exposure they are receiving. They deserve it.

So they have sent me a few more pictures taken at the “official” photo shoot. The house now has more furniture in it and a lot more artwork on the walls, but my amateur photography cannot compare to the professional photos, so I won’t even try. Later on, maybe. Especially of the studio, right?

Ok, so below, a shot of the living/dining room area, where you can appreciate the height of the wood beam ceiling (3.40 m). To the right the only corridor in the house that joins the main part of the house to my private quarters. And a closeup of that corridor at night, with three floor lights. So pretty.

One of three guest rooms, all with en suite bathrooms (the bookcases are now overflowing with books!). The sliding doors to each room were recycled from our my mother’s Quito house.

A close-up of the kitchen, which I love, love, love! Large and spacey and easy to work in. Six people can sit at that counter… and they do. 🙂

The back porch. Since these photos were taken, we have enclosed it with mosquito netting. Makes it so, so nice for al fresco dining!

Ok, so now onto other things… But can I just say — one more time? — I LOVE my new house! 🙂

Maravilloso tu nuevo hogar! Me alegra tanto, ha sido un largo tiempo de trabajo pero al fin el resultado es un éxito. Que lo disfrutes como mereces, Angie.
