Another day, another BOM!

I read somewhere that January 15 is Blue Monday this year, and as such the most depressing day of the year. It’s all based on some mathematical equation much too complicated for me to understand. What I do know is that even though it is a cold, rainy day outside, I certainly am not blue… I’m excited.

Today we begin our Dollhouse block-of-the-month project. This is the second BOM project offered this year to subscribed members. I am always excited to share these projects with our members, and this year’s project is particularly challenging. It is probably the most complex project I’ve shared, and I know members are going to come up with some awesome versions.

This is also a challenge for me, not only because I actually will also be sewing the project, but I have decided to offer video tutorials with a blow-by-blow of how I put each of the blocks together. It’s been an interesting process. On the one hand, I learn a lot making a video and I love sharing tips. On the other hand… I actually feel somewhat exposed. I know I am very unconventional in some of my sewing methods. I guess my approach is “whatever works for me… works for me.” In any case, I hope that sharing what works for me might be of use to others.

Here’s an overview of the project. I sure hope you will join in, too!

I am looking forward to this fun project. Thank you for the opportunity to do this and for taking the time to offer video tutorials.
