For quite a few weeks now, Jared and I have been working diligently on improving and upgrading the back end of the Angie’s Bits ‘n Pieces website. If all goes well, we hope to have the upgrade in place for the New Year.
Visitors will probably not perceive many of the changes, as graphically the website will continue to look pretty much the same. What we hope will improve is the navigation and our ability to highlight different categories of patterns in a better way. It might not look like much, but it has entailed quite a bit of work. More for Jared than for me probably, as he tweaks many technical aspects. For me, it has involved going through every single last page (over 3,500!) of our very large website, making sure everything is categorized correctly, taking out very old contents and often updating pdf files.
One of the interesting things about this process has been revisiting old patterns I myself had forgotten about. It’s kind of like running into old friends. And I have been reminded of projects I enjoyed designing so much, I really, really wanted to sew them myself. But I had forgotten them.
So I thought I’d make a little wish list for 2012. Like my UFOs, who knows how many of these I will actually be able to make, but I figure that by at least making a list I might actually see some of them come to life!
These would be at the top of my list… I’ll cross my fingers and hope I will find make the time to sew them:

Then there are some real oldies I always liked and thought… hmm, I should make this someday!
Among the more whimsical patterns there are some that tickle my bone more than others, which I would be inclined to make if I really, REALLY had more time on my hands!
Last, but not least, I would like to not only sew, but design a few more patterns that reflect the Andean region where I live. This one I would really like to sew…
Ok, so on top of the still-existing UFOs I need to work on, this makes for an ambitious year, wouldn’t you say? A girl can dream…. sigh. 🙂

Oh, dear, Angie, you have just added to my ‘wanna d0’ list for next year. So many wonderful designs to make up and add to my stash of wall hangings.
Olá Angie, se eu fizesse um dos seus projetos por mês, já me daria como satisfeita, mesmo que fossem os menores. Ufos, perdi a conta… mas continuo na esperança de faze-los.
