Hibiscus… finished!

It seems like I’ve been working on this project for ages! I have had to remind myself that I actually have been working on it ye one morning a week, when my sewing circle meets. I decided this week, however, that there was only a little quilting left, plus the binding, so I might as well finish it now. So this is what I spent yesterday evening doing… and I love the way it’s turned out. These colors are so unlike me, which is probably why I am liking it so much.

I don’t know what I was doing wrong with the angle of the camera, which makes the borders look funny… Oh well… still learning to take pics, I guess, but this at least give an idea of what the finished wallhanging looks like…

I am a self-learner. I taught myself to sew and to quilt. And I taught myself how to draw. I love to dye my own fabrics, am a fanatic of free-motion quilting, and dabble with mixed media. I am a quilt designer and teacher, and design and publish my own line of quilt patterns. With this blog I would like to share the bits and pieces of my life.
