No, I haven’t fallen off the planet. Nor have I gone over the edge with the planned-for-but-in-reality-deep-felt absence of Jamie and the kids. Although I have to admit this first couple of days since their departure I felt a little lost. I mean.. it’s so QUIET around here!
It will probably take a while before I quit counting the days and weeks left before Jamie returns. This is a transition, after all. So, to help myself in adapting to this new reality, I (wisely, I think) decided to take this week off, just to please myself. Obviously, that means giving myself permission to sew “my” projects. And at that, in any order I please.
I had fallen behind on my BOM blocks, so am happy to say I have now caught up. Plus finished a UFO and started a new project. All in all, a productive albeit silent week.
With the beginning of the new week I am starting to feel back to normal and have started to plan website projects for September and October. Yippee!
I am a self-learner. I taught myself to sew and to quilt. And I taught myself how to draw. I am learning how to dye my own fabrics and am dabbling with mixed media. I am a quilt designer and teacher, and design and publish my own line of quilt patterns. With this blog I would like to share the bits and pieces of my life.
