Girls’ Beauty Day

Yesterday the five generations of “girls” in our immediate family trooped off together for a morning of primping and pruning. So here are some pics of all my pretty girls. 🙂

My mom is the only one with really short hair. So she just breezed in, had her hair cut in under 10 minutes, and breezed out again. She used her time wisely and did her grocery shopping while the rest of us beautified.

Hmm… kind of looks like an alien landed here, doesn’t it? Jamie was going for some (subtle) purple highlights

Alexia looks a little doubtful

And there is a lot of trepidation on my part. I haven’t had my hair cut in over 20 years! But I decide to go for it and try not to gasp when I see all the hair lying on the floor. Hmm… this is different… I now have bangs!

My daughter-in-law Karina goes all out: pedicure, manicure, Brazilian waxing, haircut and styling… talk about endurance!

We forgot to take “before” pictures. But here are all the lovelies’ “after” pictures. Aren’t they pretty?

Everybody is laughing at me. Because my hair is obviously still long, but I’ve just had 10 inches cut off and when I reach behind my back waist I can’t feel anything. Also, does anyone realize that hair really does weigh and when it’s gone it feels kind of funny? Ok, ok… I’ll get used to it. 🙂

I just recently did the same thing! I had long, long hair, blunt cut and hadn’t had it cut in years. Then a couple of weeks ago, I got this *thing* and just got my hair whacked! Like yours it’s still long in the back, but it has layers, and very LONG bangs. I’m still getting used to it! Yours looks very nice! 🙂
