The last several weeks have been all about Christmas projects. Sewing up samples for four different workshops I’ll be teaching each month all the way through November. Trying to decide what to include, making the samples, printing patterns and writing instructions. Finally finished, I taught the first four workshops last week. In the meantime, I had to leave the mess in my studio lying around until I could find time to pick up.
Today was the day. I have to have several gift bags sewn by tomorrow. So the table has been cleared, and fourteen pairs of bags, handles and batting have been cut out and I am now ready to sew. My prototype bag is circled in the photo in the oval shape. More of this to come… let me finish these bags first and I’ll share a tutorial.
I am a self-learner. I taught myself to sew and to quilt. And I taught myself how to draw. I am learning how to dye my own fabrics and am dabbling with mixed media. I am a quilt designer and teacher, and design and publish my own line of quilt patterns. With this blog I would like to share the bits and pieces of my life.

Hola Angie, me encantan tus labores y tu página es mi favorita, ¡Hay tanto que ver y tantas ideas lindas! Me sorprendió el Quilt de tu nieta Alexia, es bellísimo, e increíble que siendo tan pequeña sea tan habilidosa con la costura. Algunas de tus ideas me han motivado a ser aún más cuidadosa con el ambiente, estoy guardando mis retazos y sobrantes de hilo para rellenar cojines, planeo hacer una gran bolsa para mis compras y no recibir las bolsas plásticas de la tienda, y creo que estas bolsas que presentas aquí serían perfectas para empacar nuestros regalos de navidad, en vez de utilizar papel. Originales, y reutilizables, no crees? Llevo poco tiempo estudiando patchwork y quilting (8 meses) con una muy buena maestra que hace cosas lindas, pero me gusta buscar en tu página nuevas ideas, porque ya me volví adicta.
