If you’ve been following up on me for a while I’m sure you figured out a long time ago that I live in Latin America (Ecuador) and live between two cultures. I think in English most of the time, as that is the language we spoke and still speak at home. Yet as both I and my kids grew up in a bilingual situation, we tend to mix and quite often end up speaking true Spanglish. It’s a lot of fun – only those who speak both languages are able to follow along in these conversations.
Anyway… that prologue is necessary to explain this post. Because you must understand that more than half my life takes place in Spanish, both linguistically and culturally. And although this website is set up intentionally in English, my Latin roots are bound to pop up at some point.
This post is especially for all those Spanish speakers who have decided to join my website and follow along with me even when it involves them having to struggle with English. So here’s something in Spanish that they are sure to understand and enjoy.
My daughter made me aware of this video last night. It was actually put out a couple of years ago, as part of a commercial. Miguel Bosé is not only a talented singer, but just one of those men who – like good wine – ages well. And this is his tribute to women. To “real” women. Enjoy

Irene.
