Finished wallhangings

In the midst of kid-oriented activities and posting patterns for our Christmas in July series there has been time for a wee bit of sewing! As usual, not as much as I would like (but then, there never is!), but at least a couple of wallhangings have been finished!

Here’s Alexia’s finished wallhanging (she’s started working on another one now):

And I managed to make some time this week to work on and off on this Green Beer wallhanging until I finally finished it. I made this at the request of a dear family friend, and Jamie will be posting it for her when she travels to the U.S. in a couple of weeks. I hope you like it, Joan! I’ve had that shamrock fabric for years and finally found a use for it! (-:

I am a self-learner. I taught myself to sew and to quilt. And I taught myself how to draw. I love to dye my own fabrics, am a fanatic of free-motion quilting, and dabble with mixed media. I am a quilt designer and teacher, and design and publish my own line of quilt patterns. With this blog I would like to share the bits and pieces of my life.
