If you’ve ever flown into Quito, you know landing in this city is certainly quite an experience. You see, the city grew around the airport, enclosing it completely, with no space to expand and lengthen the airstrip.

Settled in
Kinda. Or maybe not. In any case, it’s been nearly three months since I last posted, which seems rather revealing about how long it’s taken (or, rather, is still taking) me to adapt to new surroundings.

I am a self-learner. I taught myself to sew and to quilt. And I taught myself how to draw. I love to dye my own fabrics, am a fanatic of free-motion quilting, and dabble with mixed media.
