Well, not really. Actually, not at all. Just a little play on words to describe Alexia’s latest production. Her quilt is now finished, washed and spread out on her bed, waiting for her return from the beach. I blame her mother for her quirky sense of humor. I mean, have you ever seen a quilt before with cheese and mice falling all over it?
Once again, I am very proud of this 12 year-old able to design, piece, and appliqué a bed-sized quilt top all on her own. I predict that by her twenties she is going to be producing some spectacular quilts… just wait and see!

I am a self-learner. I taught myself to sew and to quilt. And I taught myself how to draw. I love to dye my own fabrics, am a fanatic of free-motion quilting, and dabble with mixed media. I am a quilt designer and teacher, and design and publish my own line of quilt patterns. With this blog I would like to share the bits and pieces of my life.

Cute, cute, cute! I am thoroughly impressed!
I love it !!! Those mice are so cute! 🙂
Well done Alexia – great quilt and I just commented elsewhere and didn’t realise the quilt was already online here – look forward to seeing more of your inspiring quilts.
Guess when the photo was taken there was no need to say “cheese” !!

Alexia, you´ve done it again! I was impressed with your “Enchanted forest” quilt, an I really loved your unicorn. Now, I have to admit this one is beautiful and funny, too! Congratulations, and I´ll be waiting for the next one…
