Glittens and more blackouts

Remember the yarn I bought last weekend? Well, given the fact that it appears we are in for several days (if not weeks) of blackouts due to the energy crisis, I would say I will be going through it pretty fast. Sewing is out by candlelight, but knitting is still feasible.

I actually did get a pair of glittens finished for Jamie this week. What is that, you say? According to the Urban Dictionary, “(a) fingerless glove with a retractable mitten, as worn by anyone who wants to stay warm and still grab stuff. They aren’t gloves, they aren’t mittens- they’re glittens.”

I am a self-learner. I taught myself to sew and to quilt. And I taught myself how to draw. I love to dye my own fabrics, am a fanatic of free-motion quilting, and dabble with mixed media. I am a quilt designer and teacher, and design and publish my own line of quilt patterns. With this blog I would like to share the bits and pieces of my life.
