We get a lot of requests for individual patterns. So in addition to our website membership Jared and I decided we really needed to open an online pattern shop this year.
As you can imagine, designing, teaching, keeping up our very large website and tending to this blog already takes up A LOT of time. Setting up and operating and online store involves even more time. Yet this is a good thing, in more ways than one. You see, I am the kind of person who needs to be constantly learning new things. Otherwise I get bored and lose interest. So for this online store Jared has me learning yet another platform. This keeps my brain cells active. 🙂 And I am thoroughly enjoy learning how to manage this new website.
We still have a ways to go. I mean, it has taken me two full days to figure out how to upload the files and graphics for only four products. I have had to delete and upload again several times until I figured it out. Jared is a lot quicker about the back end of things. But he’s REALLY patient with me, so this makes the learning experience a lot of fun. Hopefully by the end of the month at the latest we will have everything up and running. In between there’s still all those Christmas designs that need to be drawn, and patterns to be written.
Busy, busy, busy! Yet you find me here not wanting to go to bed at night, and ready to jump out of bed as soon as I wake up so I won’t waste a minute! It certainly is good to be able to do what one loves in life, isn’t it?

I am a self-learner. I taught myself to sew and to quilt. And I taught myself how to draw. I am learning how to dye my own fabrics and am dabbling with mixed media. I am a quilt designer and teacher, and design and publish my own line of quilt patterns. With this blog I would like to share the bits and pieces of my life.
