It sure seems to have taken us a long time to get into some kind of routine. And I’m still not quite there. Or know if I will be anytime soon. It’s been years now living with adult children, so having younger kids around has involved quite an adjustment. And I guess I am slowly starting to realize that there is not such thing as a “regular” routine around here anymore. Every day brings something new…
My friends and I have also started to slowly get back into sewing. It hasn’t been easy. In addition to the death of our friend Luchita, and the absence of our friend Mariangela (back in Italy), due to work obligations our friend Elena hasn’t been able to come around much for our weekly get-togethers. This means our group has literally been reduced to half. But the two other friends who join me on Thursdays have been sewing, so at last I have a little something to share.
Bachita has finished a lovely, lovely basket. Mariangela and Susy have also been working with this pattern, but Bachita is the first to finish. She really does lovely appliqué.
And Susy now comes to our get-together with a lovely bag she designed herself, using some of the appliqué designs from our Design Library.
Such talented friends, don’t you agree?
