Serendipity

You will recall a couple of days ago I posted about some of my scrap busting efforts, including  a couple of pieces in which in addition to itty bitty scraps of fabric I had included bits of thread and yarn.

This was one of the finished pieces:

So I was clearing my work table, sorting through and organizing all the bits and pieces that tend to accumulate there, and I came across a little fabric flower that was sent to me earlier this summer,  as part of a gift of fabric. The stack of collages was on the table, too, with this particular piece on top. Click. I placed the little flower on top… and it just worked. I added some lettering, trimmed and zig-zag stitched the edges closed, and this little piece is now hanging in a strategic place in my bedroom, where I can easily see it from my bed.

Ahhh… don’t you just love it when things come together like this?
