Ready for 2012? Here’s a BOM sneak peek!

Well, I don’t know if I am completely ready yet to greet the new year, but I can say I AM ready with our BOM projects for next year. I’ve had a lot of fun drawing these… and I hope you will all enjoy them, too!

My Bucket List

For quite a few weeks now, Jared and I have been working diligently on improving and upgrading the back end  of the Angie’s Bits ‘n Pieces website. If all goes well, we hope to have the upgrade in place for the New Year.

Thank you, thank you!

I am so terribly tempted to pat myself on the back and praise myself for being oh, so very brilliant sometimes. But I can’t take the credit here, because it belongs to all you wonderful friends who accepted the invitation to join in and share so generously!

Warm weather Christmas

Over the last couple of years I’ve had several website visitors request Christmas designs more suited to the geographical areas where they live. And I was finally able to make some time this year to do exactly that.

Yep! I love to design!

Ok, so admittedly I wasn’t feeling ecstatic about my sewing accomplishments so far this year (it seems like so little as compared to how much I would like to do). So to cheer myself up I’ve done a little evaluating about what I have accomplished as a designer this year…

A year of accomplishments

Even though these weeks have been and continue to be about Christmas sewing, as we approach the end of the year my thoughts turn to new beginnings. And naturally… to possible new projects. But I’m thinking before I start planning new things I need to take stock again of the goals I set for myself […]

Cangrejada

Jared (son #2) and his girlfriend, Karina, invited us all over to their place yesterday for an all-day crab fest. Yes, that’s what we know as a cangrejada. So I thought I would share a few images today of some typical Ecuadorian seafood.

Christmas Collections

Over the last week we had a long holiday (from Wednesday on) which I used to do some computer housekeeping (over 65 GB in patterns alone to back up!) and some more Christmas sewing.

Serendipity

You will recall a couple of days ago I posted about some of my scrap busting efforts, including  a couple of pieces in which in addition to itty bitty scraps of fabric I had included bits of thread and yarn.

And talking about scraps… and Christmas…

I came across a little project that combines itty bitty scraps with Christmas! And it involves two favorites of mine… circles and trees!

I am a self-learner. I taught myself to sew and to quilt. And I taught myself how to draw. I love to dye my own fabrics, am a fanatic of free-motion quilting, and dabble with mixed media. I am a quilt designer and teacher, and design and publish my own line of quilt patterns. With this blog I would like to share the bits and pieces of my life.
