You must think I’ve fallen off the deep end. And sometimes it has actually felt like that. Yep, it’s been six months since I last posted, and it’s time to catch up.

Building in Ecuador
Yep. It’s certainly been a while since I last posted. The reason being that over the last few weeks building has been a very large part of my life.
Time to brag: Opera iO
You will recall that one of the sacrifices made after moving out of town was Thursday sewing with my sewing circle. Fortunately for me, a year ago precisely my niece Ana Lía decided to join me on those days, and I finally had someone to share sewing with again. We have had to suspend those […]
Ready. Set. Sew!
Well, ok… not quite there yet, but I have (finally!) organized my new sewing space.
Still stuck; something happy, something sad
A month after moving to my new place finds me pretty much the same: still kind of stuck.

It’s finished!
Well, kind of. At least all the construction part. But basically my mom’s new suite is done. Just a few odds and ends that will be taken care of over the next few days.
Handy Dandy Kitchen Charts
Just came across a pretty nifty blog…. nothing to do with quilting, but you might find it useful for some pretty nifty charts! From S.B.LattinDesign.
Passing on the torch
Fanesca is the traditional Ecuadorian dish for Easter. It also happens to be my all-time favorite when it comes to Ecuadorian cuisine. I will never turn down an invitation to eat a bowl, regardless of who prepares it and what particular ingredients are included or left out. Except for “mellocos,” which you might have heard […]
A bit more on the extension
As I was going through my image folder I found some additional pics of the extension on my mom’s house I had completely forgotten.
