My mom’s cat and companion of 16 years, Romeo Valentino, died yesterday. As any of you living with pets knows, the loss of these beloved companions is very painful, and it is going to take a while for my mom to mourn the loss of her companion.

A long, long hand quilting project
I normally set aside one project to work on Thursday mornings when my sewing circle meets, usually a UFO. Sometimes the project chosen takes only one or two morning sessions to complete. Others take longer. And even others take forever.
Make your own fabrics
I’ll admit it. I’m a bookaholic. Since I started quilting, I have managed to grow quite an impressive collection of quilting/sewing books. But I seem to have finally reached a point where I am no longer tempted to buy… too many more. 🙂
Recycle your plastic bottles into…. a broom???

A full sewing circle again
Our little group continues to meet every Thursday. Sometimes it has been only two of us, sometimes more. What started out as a group of seven was reduced to four.
