Sewing Circle: Felt Ornaments

You will remember a couple of days ago I blogged about the (newly acquired) book Fa la la la Felt: 45 Handmade Holiday Decorations, by Amanda Carestio. And it turns out my sewing circle friends went crazy about it, too.

Be Inspired: Textile Artists Lisa and Lori Lubbesmeyer

I’ve been cleaning out my bookmarks. And it’s a good thing to do because I’ve found some hidden treasures. You know, things you tuck away to come back to later and then promptly forget. And this is something that really needs to be shared.

Once Again, Old Town Quito

Jamie and I met up again yesterday for our monthly rendezvous in the Old Town. Normally we go down in the morning, but Jamie had a workshop so we agreed to meet at the trolley station at noon. By the time we got downtown, it was past one o’clock, so lunch was naturally the first […]

A day to rejoice

It was just under two weeks ago that we were glued to our TV sets with the terrifying events taking place here in Ecuador. Now again, it is hard to take our eyes off that screen, but for completely different motives. The rescue of 33 miners in Chile is something that lifts our spirits and […]
