The Nursery and Bathroom

Working on the 2018 Dollhouse BOM is certainly providing me with an opportunity to try out different techniques.

This has been the case with the Nursery block, where I sewed most of the pieces using the fusible interfacing method.

And with the Bathroom block, I tried out something new… a variation of a prepared edge technique, using double-sided sticky web. I particularly had a lot of fun with this block!

I am a self-learner. I taught myself to sew and to quilt. And I taught myself how to draw. I am learning how to dye my own fabrics and am dabbling with mixed media. I am a quilt designer and teacher, and design and publish my own line of quilt patterns. With this blog I would like to share the bits and pieces of my life.
