On rulers and drawing faces

2013-153Yesterday I took a little time “off” from work and running around to work on a little piece, resulting from a Lauren Vlcek online class offered on The Quilt Show. Love Lauren. Love the class. 🙂


I am pretty sure there are going to be more pieces like this one in the near future. It was so much fun, and from beginning to end took about an hour.

Quilters are known to be collectors… of all kinds of odds and ends. And I am no exception. One of the things I collect are rulers. Like these:


I did want a different finish for my little quilt, so some of these rulers really came in handy. This is how I used them:
