A little embellishing fun

Well, a full three weeks have gone by before I actually got around to finishing this little project. Family and work do come first, and it’s been busy on those fronts. But I did find a little time this weekend to add some beads and buttons to this little project.

Time for beads and buttons

July turned out to be an exceptionally busy month. Lots and lots of work. And because we were left without power for a whole week, which involved juggling my whole schedule around, I ended up having to work long hours the last couple of weeks.

Bling

So I’ve finished the little project from the Fabric Fancification class. Now… the whole purpose of taking a class is to learn something new, right? In all honesty, though, there wasn’t much I didn’t already know and wouldn’t have been able to do by myself, without taking this class.

An embellishment project

One of the things I promised myself when I moved out of town was that with all the “extra” time I would now have I would get a lot more sewing time. Ummm…. that hasn’t quite happened yet, at least not as I expected. But I am moving in that direction now.

Now that all my *big* gifts are finished, wrapped, and ready to go, I have been focusing on small, quick gifts. You never know… it’s always good to have a few on hand.

Making my own cording
